I'll overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's bout.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters met for the traditional face-off, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is really going ahead.
